I first learned of Washington Diamond back in 1994 when I was shopping for an engagement ring. The service was so good, that we got our wedding bands there as well. Since then, Washington Diamond has been there for us when I had them create a custom necklace for my wife and when we asked them to take my grandmother's cocktail ring and remake it for my wife. In addition to a couple of small pieces along the way, I just picked up a pair of beautiful diamond earrings for my wife as an anniversary present. Evidently I was in the 33% of purchasers that are male buying the ring on their own, that is with out the future fiance' or another friend of the female persuasion to guide their decisions. I wanted the ring to be something that I had decided upon. Through the truly educational experience, I basically readjusted my original assumptions as far as the 4 c's parameters, and ended up with a much nicer ring for less money than I had earmarked from my internet research. All that, not to mention that my sales rep Walt was a genuine good guy who made the entire process very enjoyable exclusive of any pressure whatsoever. Wow. I'm still amazed at the fabulous service and professionalism we received. I still look at my hand and say "Wow" when I look at my rings. The personal contact and fast replies to emails have been extremely helpful, especially since I now live in NC. The quality for the dollar is amazing, and I frequently check out their site for additional good deals. This isn't just a great diamond store, but a great jewelry store, a great custom jewelry maker, and really, good metal working artists who are helping to make the most important rings you'll ever wear. I have no regrets at all that we chose this company.

Their web site has a lot of information on it, but that only helps to figure out what you like and dislike, although I still occasionally browse their site just for fun. When you sit down and look at loose stones is when you get your real education. Also, we were the type of high maintenance folks who said, "we want a 3 stone design, but with pears on the sides...and we saw a setting at a different company's site that we like...what do you have like that?" They were able to make us exactly what we had in mind, with a much higher quality stone that we thought we could afford.

My husband got my engagement ring there because out of all the other places this was the only one that really had great customer service. I had to take my ring to get resized, and during the process the sales people were extremely professional and friendly.

The best jewelry experience I've ever had - their customer service is stellar, they are patient through the process, and the quality is outstanding.
