I was very pleased with my experience in working with Washington Diamond to find my perfect engagement ring.  I felt very good with the purchase and my fiancee LOVES the ring - success!!  I worked with Walter and he was excellent.  I never felt pressured or like I was being sold or steered into something I didn't want.  Walter was very patient in working with me to understand the 4cs and how they may impact the finished product.  I thought the in-house selection of ring styles and settings was excellent.  In selecting the diamond, I felt confident that I was well informed on price and the quality of the stone within my budget.  The service was excellent, the staff kept me informed on when the ring would be available and they were able to get me the finished ring in only a few days.  After all the research online and visiting a number of area jewelers, I am very glad I choose to purchase at Washington Diamond.  Sean L. 11/7/10

Everyone at Washington Diamond did a great job at helping me and my wife pick out the perfect wedding rings. I had bought the engagement ring at another location, but we bought the wedding rings at Washington Diamond. We got married last week and everyone who saw the rings, thought they had been bought together because of how perfectly my wife's engagement and wedding ring looked together and how my ring fit right in as well. 

On the day we bought the wedding rings, we had been to about four places before going to Washington Diamond. Our plan was just to look that day, and not to buy anything. Go to all the places, go home, and compare. But Washington Diamond just blew us away. They did not try to force anything on us. They listened when we said what we wanted and what our budget was. They then didn't just try to force on us the most expensive ring within our price range, but instead really worked with us to find the perfect rings. Once we listened to everyone at Washington Diamond, and saw the beautiful rings they had to offer, we did not hesitate to buy our rings from them that day. Our only regret was that we didn't make Washington Diamond our first stop. Everyone there is very professional, they have a great selection to fit within whatever your budget might be, and they are very knowledgeable. We were 100% satisfied with all aspects of our interaction with Washington Diamond and 100% satisfied with our purchase. Without question, from now on, we will head to Washington Diamond to buy any jewelry we may need and we will no doubt recommend them to anyone we know who needs to buy rings or any other type of diamond. Best Diamond Education Services for First… I recently was looking for a diamond engagement ring while knowing absolutely nothing about diamonds or rings at all.  After a considerable amount of researching the internet for info and potential places I happened upon Washington Diamond and signed up for an hour meeting to learn more about the process of finding and buying the perfect diamond ring.  With absolutely zero pressure to buy from them, Tom Daube went through just about everything there was to know about diamonds.  Ultimately I decided to come back and purchase my fiances ring from them after the experiencing their wonderful customer service, custom hand crafted rings and very reasonable prices.  Very highly recommend!  --Matt K, Arlington 10/27/10

My now-fiance and I went to Washington Diamond to purchase my engagement ring. After numerous chain store disappointments with high prices, low quality and varying degrees of professionalism, I searched for a local jewelry store. I found Washington Diamond, and I'm glad I did. I love the appointment-only setting and the individual attention. We walked in with a very specific budget and wants in a ring, and I now have the perfect ring on my finger. We were shown one exquisite diamond. I never thought we could afford the quality of this diamond, but our sales person found the perfect diamond and provided it within our budget. There was no haggling and strange sales, he simply said, "Okay, we can do this diamond for this price with this setting, and the total will be..." And it was right on track. I know that I would have gotten a much lesser quality ring had we stuck with chains-- namely Jared. I am thrilled with it and our experience. My fiance feels comfortable enough in the store to go back for future gifts. There was no pressure, no gimmicks... Just professional courtesy and a desire to make the consumer happy. Not only does Tom crack me up on a regular basis, he is my go-to guy when it comes to jewelry. I purchased my first ring from another company in DC claiming the best prices and best quality, and it turns out that my diamond wasn't even up to snuff when compared to the GIA certificate. Tom showed me additional flaws he was shocked to find, then helped me be OK with the purchase at some other store, and then went on to help me find the perfect wedding rings!

He is a true gentleman, everyone at the store are always extremely friendly, helpful AND knowledgeable. You cannot beat their quality -- they have professional metallurgists and jewelers working on site, they even pour their own platinum, gold and silver rings from molten metal! When I received it after it was resized, it was indeed different. It turned out better. The new finish is much more durable than the original. Whereas the old brushed finish scratched very easily, the new is bulletproof. And in cutting it down, the cut was placed to remove some of the existing damage on the polished sides.
