I was very pleased with my experience in working with Washington Diamond to find my perfect engagement ring.  I felt very good with the purchase and my fiancee LOVES the ring - success!!  I worked with Walter and he was excellent.  I never felt pressured or like I was being sold or steered into something I didn't want.  Walter was very patient in working with me to understand the 4cs and how they may impact the finished product.  I thought the in-house selection of ring styles and settings was excellent.  In selecting the diamond, I felt confident that I was well informed on price and the quality of the stone within my budget.  The service was excellent, the staff kept me informed on when the ring would be available and they were able to get me the finished ring in only a few days.  After all the research online and visiting a number of area jewelers, I am very glad I choose to purchase at Washington Diamond.  Sean L. 11/7/10

Best Diamond Education Services for First… I recently was looking for a diamond engagement ring while knowing absolutely nothing about diamonds or rings at all.  After a considerable amount of researching the internet for info and potential places I happened upon Washington Diamond and signed up for an hour meeting to learn more about the process of finding and buying the perfect diamond ring.  With absolutely zero pressure to buy from them, Tom Daube went through just about everything there was to know about diamonds.  Ultimately I decided to come back and purchase my fiances ring from them after the experiencing their wonderful customer service, custom hand crafted rings and very reasonable prices.  Very highly recommend!  --Matt K, Arlington 10/27/10

My now-fiance and I went to Washington Diamond to purchase my engagement ring. After numerous chain store disappointments with high prices, low quality and varying degrees of professionalism, I searched for a local jewelry store. I found Washington Diamond, and I'm glad I did. I love the appointment-only setting and the individual attention. We walked in with a very specific budget and wants in a ring, and I now have the perfect ring on my finger. We were shown one exquisite diamond. I never thought we could afford the quality of this diamond, but our sales person found the perfect diamond and provided it within our budget. There was no haggling and strange sales, he simply said, "Okay, we can do this diamond for this price with this setting, and the total will be..." And it was right on track. I know that I would have gotten a much lesser quality ring had we stuck with chains-- namely Jared. I am thrilled with it and our experience. My fiance feels comfortable enough in the store to go back for future gifts. There was no pressure, no gimmicks... Just professional courtesy and a desire to make the consumer happy. My fiancé and I just purchased our wedding bands at Washington Diamond.  From the outset, it was a great experience.  We worked with Walter, who had previously sold me the engagement ring.  He knows his stuff, is patient (when you are working with people trying on lots of rings that's important) and all around great to work with.  

Washington Diamond has excellent jewelry at a great price and is convenient to get to.  I come from a long line of referrals to Washington Diamond and did my homework (shopped around) before I went.  You won't be disappointed.  My fiancé is thrilled with her engagement ring and has received many compliments.  Once we add the wedding band in a couple of months it will look even better.  Jason T 10/20/10

Walter made the experience of buying an engagement ring easy and stress free. I told him what I was looking for and my budget, we drew up a sketch and picked out a stone. Instead of a diamond my girlfriend wanted a sapphire. Walter found various sapphire stones for me to chose from and explained to me the best cut for what I wanted. The ring looks wonderful, she said yes and everyone comments on how amazing the ring looks. It was a great experience and I highly recommend them. My fiance and I bought our wedding bands here after my fiance had a great experience working with Walter to purchase my engagement ring. The engagement ring and diamond selection process was very low pressure and they had a great selection with competitive prices.

Evidently I was in the 33% of purchasers that are male buying the ring on their own, that is with out the future fiance' or another friend of the female persuasion to guide their decisions. I wanted the ring to be something that I had decided upon. Through the truly educational experience, I basically readjusted my original assumptions as far as the 4 c's parameters, and ended up with a much nicer ring for less money than I had earmarked from my internet research. All that, not to mention that my sales rep Walt was a genuine good guy who made the entire process very enjoyable exclusive of any pressure whatsoever. I suspect Washington Diamond knows the quality of their service, product and price, so there is no need for typical salesmanship. Needless to say, I highly recommend them. John T. My husband had a great experience at Washington Diamond when he went to pick out and purchase my engagement ring. When it was time to pick out our wedding rings, we decided to go back to Washington Diamond and I'm so glad we did. We are very happy with our wedding rings! The gentleman we worked with was patient and knowledgeable. They have a wide variety of rings from which to choose and because you have to have an appointment to go there, you have undivided attention from a jewelry expert. We never felt pushed into buying rings that weren't right for us either. For example, though I tried on wedding bands with diamonds in them, I knew I wanted a ring that was similar to my mother's. I wanted a solid, platinum, delicate band. I would think that many sales people would want to push the idea of adding diamonds to it, but the gentleman who was helping us never did that. Instead, he helped me find a band that coordinates beautifully with my engagement ring and is exactly what I wanted. My husband's band looks like it was meant to be on his hand. We also got our rings inscribed on the inside and they did that very quickly and beautifully. We are very happy with Washington Diamond and absolutely recommend them.   K & S, 8/3/10

My fiance and I cared about finding a jeweler that was educated about conflict diamonds and (obviously) did not sell them. We also wanted to use a local jeweler to buy our rings. Washington Diamond came up right away in our initial search.  Of all of the websites for local jewelers that we visited, theirs was the only one that provided clear information about what a conflict diamond is and how to be sure that you are buying a safe diamond.

While this is what initially attracted us to Washington Diamond, we had an excellent experience with the staff. The service was phenomenal, and they had a wide variety of styles to choose from. They offered lots of information and answered all of our many questions. After purchasing the engagement ring with them, we went back to buy all of our wedding bands from them too.

My husband and I had a wonderful and satisfying experience at Washington Diamond. This was the 3rd place we went to find the perfect engagement ring for me so going in we were quite leery. We had a really bad experience with Jared where they sold us a stone that after we got it appraised, which we paid for, was valued at half of what we paid for it. When we went to them to rectify the problem they wouldn't pay for a second appraisal and they kept telling us that they were going to stand by their product. Needless to say we returned the engagement ring and cancelled the orders for the wedding bands.

My husband found Washington Diamond online and made an appointment and from the moment we stepped into the showroom we were treated warmly and professionally. We sat down with Tom and he pulled out several stones and even offered to make whatever I wanted. Our consultation with Tom was so educational and professional that we found a setting we liked and purchased a stone that we had not even seen because he had just purchased it and it was coming that next morning but we felt so confident in Tom's word and expertise that we would be completely satisfied with our purchase we agreed to it. And we were surprised. Both of us were so very pleased and stunned at how beautiful my ring looked, even his sales staff was complimenting the ring. The clarity and color of the diamond is exquisite.
